Akta FZC (the “Firm”) is a legal consultancy company registered in the Umm Al Quwain Free Zone, Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates. The Firm’s services are strictly limited to those permitted by its licence and by applicable laws and regulations.

The Firm does not and will not:

• represent, appear for or act on behalf of any client before any court or judicial authority in the United Arab Emirates, including (without limitation):
• any federal or local/onshore courts in any Emirate; or
• any quasi‑judicial committee, enforcement authority or similar body established in the UAE; or
• act as legal representative, advocate, attorney of record, local counsel or local sponsor for any client in connection with any proceedings before any such federal or local/onshore UAE court, or other judicial or quasi‑judicial body.

The Firm does not and will not provide any advice, opinion, guidance or service in relation to UAE law in any form, whether federal, Emirate‑level or free‑zone law, including without limitation:

• UAE civil, commercial, criminal, administrative, regulatory or procedural law;
• the laws, regulations, rules or practice directions of any UAE free zone (including, without limitation, financial free zones);
• any aspect of Shariah (Islamic) law or Shariah‑based principles as applied or interpreted in the UAE (including in relation to family, inheritance, succession, finance or commercial transactions); or
• any UAE court procedures, litigation or enforcement processes, or any UAE regulatory, licensing, compliance or enforcement matters.

The Firm does not issue UAE law opinions, certifications, confirmations or sign‑offs of any kind, nor does it provide any formal or informal view on the interpretation, validity, enforceability or application of UAE law or Shariah in any court, arbitral or regulatory context.

Any references to UAE law, UAE courts, UAE free zones, Shariah or UAE regulatory matters in the Firm’s documents, publications, marketing materials or communications are provided solely for general, high‑level informational or contextual purposes and do not constitute legal advice, a legal opinion or a substitute for advice from appropriately qualified and licensed UAE legal practitioners and/or recognised Shariah advisers. Clients and other users are solely responsible for obtaining independent, specific advice on all UAE law and Shariah‑related issues.

Nothing on this website, in any of the Firm’s publications or marketing materials, or in any communication from the Firm should be construed as the Firm holding itself out as, or acting as, legal representative or advocate before any UAE court, tribunal, free zone authority, arbitral body or governmental authority, or as providing UAE law advice of any kind.
